Nice review from the Atlantic. I really dig the Stuff White People Like site. The posts are clever and often bitingly accurate. After reading a bunch of them, I came to realize that I am so white.

Yeah, that’s a good question about Girl Talk. Given the crazy frequency of song changes and the amount of overlap, it’s not like he can just mix between two turntables, with repeated record swaps, right? Does he use ten turntables? I think there’s some YouTube videos up of some live GT performances, so I’ll have to check that out.

That Girl Talk breakdown was amazing. Speaking of GT live, I’ve always wondered how what he does to make it interesting? Otherwise it’s just watching a guy use his laptop, right?

I planning to listen to this tonight but it does remind me of a talk show probably in the late 80s (Dick Clark was a panel member) where they discussed if music from the 70s was really that bad.

I’m looking forward to “Peace Sells, but who’s buyin!?!!?” (Megadeth), and Ratt’s “Round and Round.” I believe Ace of Spades was on Guitar Hero 2, but it’ll be nice to have a 4-player version of it.
