Enjoying the Fourth of July in Carmel

July 6th, 2010 § 0 comments

Mino and Meghan joined me in Carmel for a relaxing weekend filled with soccer viewing and good weather. (Certainly better weather than what there is back in NYC right now, with highs around 100 over the weekend–yikes!) On Sunday, we walked down to the beach to take in the surf, the thick smoke from camp fires and the nice views.

Mino noticed an SUV parked by the beach that was of particular interest to me, as it contained three handsome old Brittanys. The car also had several American Brittany Rescue stickers on the back–kudos to the car’s owner for supporting a great organization. How did I know these were older dogs? Just check out how white their faces are in my photos.

Lots of sniffs for a nose that knows

In general, it was a very classy weekend, filled with timeless taste combinations like brut rose champagne and sweet onion Kettle chips.
