The Hopp Stop

This is not a surprise, given the machine-like consistency with which GE hit its numbers for years on end. I remember reading speculation in the early part of this decade that shenanigans were taking place.

Starbucks is apparently opening some locations that appear to be neighborhood shops. This is exactly the approach I've advocated for a few years now, since they bought a several-location chain in SF and re-branded them as Starbucks, even when there were other 'Bucks already on the same block. I figured that alternative branding would help fight off Starbucks fatigue and prevent backlash.
