We were all up in arms on the disallowed Lidstrom goal, but the blogger posts the actual rule. Unfortunately, disallowing was the correct call.

In case you missed it, check out the last link, which goes to a video of Rasheed singing along to Paradise City in the closing seconds. Makes me think of him sneaking into the 76ers huddle in Rd 1.

Yikes. Comes a couple days after Guy, Janhunen and Jeremy enjoyed a great late meal there on Guy’s last Fenwick day. But update is that Limon opened for dinner.

Kickass slo-mo videos

Casio has a new digital camera out, the EX-F1, that is rapidly gaining renown for its slo-mo video capabilities. It can take hi-res videos at 300 frames per second (FPS) (a standard Hi-8 video cam would be capturing about 30 FPS, for comparison), with the option to scale FPS up to 1200 while scaling down resolution. I can only imagine the amazing mischief we would have captured back in high school with this camera. Pop bottle bombs, anyone? Everything looks cooler in slow motion. Here’s a video someone put up that shows them shooting a Coke can, grapes and other items with a BB gun, then playing frisbee with a handsome doggy friend (skip to 1:30 in for the dog fun). Hat tip to Gizmodo for the video.

An analysis done of the impact of one specific tariff (on shirt hanger manufacturing) on the U.S. economy and work force. Blasted protectionism.
