New Arcade Fire

Gay-Lynn points us to NME’s site for streaming access to the new Arcade Fire album, Neon Bible. Also, the NPR All Songs Considered podcast had a full Arcade Fire concert from NYC. This is a recent show and includes material from Neon Bible. I’ve embedded a Pando link below. Let me know if this doesn’t work–first time using it. [Update] Pando was hanging during the upload, so instead here’s the NPR download link to the file.

Sounds like interesting music, but it looks like it’s only partially uploaded. Can you go back online so that Pando can finished the upload?

That Arcade Fire show is really, really good. The band is terrific. Plus, to add to the fun is a breathless Bob Boilen. I dig the band too and I also like homers but he’s reporting as if he’s waiting for Big Foot to appear to reveal a plan to stop global warming.

I’m with ABo. By the way that’s everything I love about Bob Boilen, he is just so passionate about his interest in music. After seeing them perform on SNL last night I kind of understand now though. Here is a Youtube link, they also did “Intervention” but I couldn’t find that one anywhere:

Totally about Boilen, I meant to mention that. He’s so fired up, it’s hilarious. Chris and I saw them perform at Coachella in 2005 and it was the best performance of the two days.
