Some scanned articles

February 4th, 2007 § 3 comments

I got around to scanning a few articles tonight.

Here’s a GQ story on the Shins in advance of their new album (which I’m enjoying quite a bit after several listens)

Chuck Klosterman is one of the reasons (along with, often, Ezra Dyer on cars) I look forward to Esquire every month. He recently looked at the impact of YouTube on metal virtuosity.

Tha Rolla, Ghris and I had a discussion recently on electric cars, plug-in hybrids and the not-quite balanced “Who Killed The Electric Car?” movie. I mentioned a column by Csaba Csere, editor-in-chief of my favorite car mag, Car & Driver, that discussed GM’s plug-in hybrid concept and its production feasability. Here it is.

Finally, Car & Driver had two DRA-apropos references in its most recent issue.

Sweet. I downloaded each of these articles and I look forward to reading them. I definitely enjoyed the “who killed the electric car” movie but it is right in my anti-big corp political sweet spot. I think the whole murder mystery bit was pretty tongue and cheek. Anyway, thanks for the articles and for the link to our travel blog.

BTW, saw Blood Diamond. Really liked it (it is pretty one-sided too). thought DiCap did a good job and I’m not really a fan.

I just walked into GNC and bought a couple of bottoms of magnesium tablets. Anyone know what is the appropriate dosage? The only thing relevant I could find after a google search (other than more discussion of the sidebar) is this http://bookofmori.blogspot.com/2006/12/mag-loading.html. the guy says its great but did not say how much is his dosage (only the number of pills).

So they have GNC in Mexico too? Do they have Taco Bell? :)
